As the world’s most popular sport, the Beautiful Game has an important role to play in addressing the major social issues of the day, especially issues related to health, community development and social cohesion.
The Calgary Soccer Federation (CSF) is committed to expanding and enhancing amateur field sport facilities in Calgary. The Federation’s most urgent priority is to raise $13 million to replace four natural grass fields at the SUBWAY Soccer Centre with four new artificial turf fields as well as build one new additional artificial turf field. These new fields will dramatically extend and enhance Calgary’s outdoor field sport season. They will increase the investment of sport tourism dollars in the Calgary community annually and become an outdoor classroom where children, youth and adults can learn the ideals of teamwork and tolerance while enjoying the many benefits of being active.

Youth involved in sport are more likely to eat healthy and weigh less, and are less likely to smoke, do drugs, engage in sexual activity and feel bored or hopeless.
