The Celebrity All Star Soccer Game

THE EVENT:
On Sunday, January 31, 2010 the SUBWAY Soccer Centre will be hosting All Star Sunday 2010 showcasing the talent of our community’s best soccer players at all levels and all ages.
Over 7,000 players, fans, patrons and sponsors will participate in this one-day event.
This year we are officially launching the Fields For Life Campaign with a special Celebrity All Star match!
THE CELEBRITY ALL STAR MATCH:
Come and join the fun as Beesley from MIX 97.7 provides play-by-play coverage for our Celebrity All Star Game from 2:00 to 3:00 featuring local celebrities from the media, various levels of government and the community.
THE FIELDS FOR LIFE CAMPAIGN:
The purpose of the Fields For Life Campaign for the Calgary Soccer Federation (CSF) is to raise $13 million to build five new artificial turf rectangular sport fields at the SUBWAY Soccer Centre. The City of Calgary has contributed $4.5 million toward the construction of three of the five fields. CSF and its member organizations have designated $1 million in support of the project. As well, the provincial government has committed $325,000 through the Community Facility Enhancement Program (CFEP). We are continuing to seek funding from other government partners and individuals, corporations and foundations are being asked to contribute to this worthy project.
